Meet Baleska
Alfaro, LMFT

A Marriage and Family Therapist in Fullerton, California, offering a warm and steady space for individuals, couples, children, teens, and families since the practice opened in 2019.

“Therapy is a relationship first, everything else grows from there.”

A personal introduction

Baleska Alfaro, LMFT provides compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive therapy for adults, children, teenagers, couples, and families.

Her work is grounded in the belief that people heal in connection, when they feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, perinatal changes, parenting challenges, family conflict, a major transition, or grief, you’ll find a collaborative partner who meets you where you are.

Philosophy

What clients can expect

A nonjudgmental space

You can bring your whole self, the messy, the uncertain, and the hopeful.

Collaboration

Goals are set together, and you always have a say in the direction of therapy.

Respect for your pace

There’s no rush. Trust and safety come first.

Practical tools

Alongside reflection, you’ll explore skills you can use in daily life.

Trauma-Informed & Culturally Responsive

Care that honors your whole story.

Trauma-informed therapy recognizes how past experiences can shape the present, and prioritizes safety, choice, and trust. Culturally responsive care means your identity, family, language, faith, and community are understood as essential, not incidental, parts of who you are.

Therapeutic Approaches

Evidence-informed methods, explained simply.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Helps you notice unhelpful thought patterns and how they affect your feelings and behavior, then practice new, more supportive responses.

ACT

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Builds flexibility: learning to make room for difficult emotions instead of fighting them, while taking steps toward what matters to you.

Attachment

Attachment-Based Interventions

Explores how early relationships shape how an individual connects today, and strengthens bonds between partners, parents, and children.

Commitment

Supporting individuals and the families around them.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Baleska understands that people live within relationships. Change in one person often ripples outward, and supportive relationships can be a powerful part of healing. Therapy may include individual sessions, couples or family sessions, or a combination, depending on your needs.
